All of us from time to time need a little bit of extra support. Ó Lá Go Lá Aims to offer support to our members in four different ways:
1. Crisis Intervention
This is an instant chat messaging service through our webpage (www.olagola.com) for those individuals who deem themselves to be in crisis. This is a one to one support service with one of our administrators. This is referred to as a PM. A Private Message (PM) is for crisis intervention.
We as admins realise that one persons definition of a crisis can differ from anothers. A PM is for immediate risk to your safety.
A PM is not for: A general chat, for making complaints, counselling, to be used as an alternative to personal and proffessional supports or to be used to update an admin of your situation.

2. Peer to peer support
Peer to peer support is offered to our members from our facebook page. Here members can support and empower eachother in an environment monitored by trained moderators. Members can write and post on the wall while the moderators post topics to be discussed. Peer to peer support can help people see that they are not alone and that others out there are also going through difficult times.

3. Group Support
Group support will be run through our PM system. This will be a space for members to discuss issues affecting them under supervision of Admin and will give a chance to discuss issues that maybe viewed as triggering on our Facebook page. It will be run once a week with seven to ten members. If members wish to take part please write out a small piece about how you think group support will help you and email firstname.lastname@example.org
4. Non Crisis Support.
We have a non crisis support emailing system. If anyone needs to release something that has been bothering them for a while,to express how they are feeling or just want to have someone listen but are not in a crisis you can now email us. This service is NOT crisis support and will be answered aproximatly every 72 hours by trained admins.
