i don't post on this page much yet--a little "timid" too i guess---but something i would like to see is maybe a discussion section, or something somewhere on coping mechanisms and how people get through a day (other then this site)--just think it would be nice to have some helpful info too (if that makes sense)--but then could be on there somewhere and i just ain't found it yet

‎@Greg, the only things I can think of are stream-lining the PM software and home page, they eat up alot of time just loading on older machines like mine; making it easier to flag for help with probs on the page, trolls and such; and getting more admins - you guys are overloaded andstill doing a great job, but it must getting tiring. I have been helped her more than any of you will ever realise. I'm home.

I love it and it brings us together to help each other. It would be great if you had admins available 24 hours because I've seen people in a desperate state at all hours but I understand this is difficult. Great job. Well done.

This page has brought me so much support and help. I have met some absolutely amazing people who i am privileged to call great friends. I am no longer lonely so often. This is what the mental health system should be like ... Governmment money could be pumped into resources such as this so prof admins can be paid for their hard work. Maybe even expand to a drop in centre! This page has saved many lives since may i am sure. It has also given so many a place to go to feel understood, taken seriously and hope.

This site helps me talk to others and make friends and share thoughts & stories with people who can relate to me.. It a good hobby as well.. and feel I can express myself and be understood and listened too. Not been Judged.. The admin and members are all here for eachother all the time.. I have found other sites to be clicky and just there whenever it suits them and selevtive who they choose to talk to ..I love communicating even if it on line and I feel that there is alot empathy on page and very genuine and sincere support.
Improving the site/page.. maybe looking at page to get more balanced and not feel that it all doom & gloom as previous members have described and feeling you have to have an emergency in order to contact you or interact, but keep it realsitic as well. A few members from reading previous posts, feel that admins don't have proven there qualification but I dont think that it is necessary as the support and professionalism speaks volumes. There is a lot of trust & confidence in that area.. I think this reflects from bad experience on previous sites..

I love this page because it offers a genuine service where people can be genuinely helped. Not only, but it has created a small community rather than just another fb page. X

These admins are psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors, or trained in the ASIST prog. & are so dedicated & generous, not only with their time, but their support, advice & never make you feel like a burden. From 6am til 2am there is always admins on the page to keep members safe & talk privately. I can genuinely say, having been through the Irish Mental Health Care system for many years now that this is the best support I have come across. I would urge anybody who feels low or suicidal to join the page & TALK. It is for all ages. There are young teens and there are people who are grandparents. Age, condition or gender-it doesn't matter-everyone is accepted, everyone is heard & everyone can receive support. I have full respect 4 the admins for the time and energy they dedicate to helping us on the group. Please, let others know of this wonderful, supportive group on Facebook. Thanks

As a member of the Help Reduce Suicide, Depression and Stress Related Illnesses in Young Adults, I can honestly say that having spent 17 yrs suffering with mental health issues, I am astounded at the support & help available on the group. Not only is it easy to chat with other members who often know what you are going through and are supportive & share experiences but should you have something on your mind that you do not feel comfortable putting out on the page there is the option to talk privately to a trained admin.

It’s been just over three months that I’ve been on the Help Reduce Suicide page. My life has been changing a lot since then. Before being on the page I was a woman suffering from panic attacks, bulimia, self harming and alcoholism without any hope of getting better.

Today, I can say that I have not been suicidal in nearly a month. I now have a light that is guiding me out of the darkness. I have not cut, drank or done the bulimia in 22 days!!! I have not had a panic attack in 2 weeks due to doing a progressive muscle relaxation every day. I am beginning to cook meals again and do some chores around my house. I no longer have any urge to take my life. I now talk to and engage with my family on a daily basis. I have restored some friendships that I had lost. I can go out of the house for walks and to the store and to church. My life is becoming more normal.
